It was a convincing vote of confidence by the members of the European Waterpark Association not only for its President, the Upper Austrian State Minister for Economic Affairs and Tourism Markus Achleitner, who was unanimously confirmed in office. The other members of the board and the committe of the supporting members in the quality association of European waterparks and spas were also re-elected with an overwhelming majority. A total of 80 representatives of the member companies took this opportunity to thank the association for its work during the difficult pandemic phase, which was marked by pool closures and restrictions on operations. President Achleitner thanked all members of the association for their loyalty and was pleased to report a new record of 284 member companies this year. The meeting took place during the Aquanale trade fair in Cologne, where the new “EWA Village” proved to be a meeting point and a real attraction for all trade fair visitors.
