It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the death of manager Patrik Gillholm in a major fire on the construction site of the new Oceana water park in Gothenburg. All our thoughts are with his family, relatives and friends and with Oceana Director Thomas Sjöstrand and his team. Not only Liseberg amusement park, but also the entire water park industry in Europe was looking forward to the planned opening of Oceana in June 2024 with great anticipation. Our sympathy is all the greater now! On February 17, the Supervisory Board of the theme park decided that the water park will be rebuilt. A new opening date has not yet been set.
