At the invitation of the European Waterpark Association e.V., representatives from leisure industry associations met on 21 July for the second associations’ dialogue, which focused primarily on joint lobbying at national and European level. Issues such as the preservation of ‘minijobs’ in Germany, making working time regulations more flexible and reducing red tape are to be brought to the attention of the political public through a joint initiative by the associations. Our sincere thanks go to Jürgen Gevers from the Association of German Leisure Parks and Leisure Companies, Thomas Gradl from the International Adventure Park Association, Marie-Christin Kuypers from the German Zoo Association, Kerstin Plentinger from the Federal Bowling Association, Birgit Priesnitz from the Association of German Cable Cars and Ski Lifts, and Eckhard Wiesenthal and Karl Görnhardt from the German Wildlife Park Association for the constructive exchange of experiences, during which we were able to establish that there are plenty of cross-sector challenges that we can tackle more effectively together.
