Catering: Procurement benefits for German EWA member businesses

The economic conditions for catering businesses in swimming pools, spas and leisure centres have changed significantly in recent years. Rising purchase prices, increasing administrative burdens and limited room for negotiation pose major challenges, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses. At the same time, it is often virtually impossible for individual facilities to secure attractive terms from suppliers on a long-term basis based solely on their own purchasing volume.

With vivamar Wasser-Freizeit-Dienstleistungs-GmbH (vivamar WFD), a new EWA supporting member is joining the organisation, aiming to make the purchasing advantages it has built up over many years available to EWA’s German member businesses. vivamar WFD is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GMF GmbH & Co. KG and has been operating for many years as a purchasing consortium for swimming pools, thermal baths, saunas, fitness centres, wellness facilities and hotels, as well as for affiliated catering establishments.

The aim of the partnership is to pass on the purchasing benefits achieved by vivamar WFD through central framework agreements to EWA member businesses. This creates immediate added value for day-to-day operations: member businesses are given the opportunity to benefit from improved terms and proven procurement structures – free of charge and without any contractual obligation.
