Hungary's capital Budapest is not the only place with a centuries-old spa culture; the whole country has numerous places where thermal healing water is used for spa treatments. In a study trip that we offer together with our Hungarian supporting member Eleven Ltd., we not only get to know the most famous Budapest baths, but also visit the large and modern Aquaticum water park in Debrecen. Immerse yourself with us in the past and presence of Hungarian bathing culture.

The Gellertbad is a jewel of Hungarian Art Nouveau, whose large entrance hall alone is enough to amaze. Its technical innovations included a wave machine, which is still in operation, and the translucent steel and glass roof. In addition to the indoor swimming pool, there are thermal pools and therapy rooms for men and women. The Széchenyi Spa is a real bathing palace from the historicist period. The large spa is famous for its outdoor pools, which are open all year round and are fed by thermal water at 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. There are further thermal pools, saunas and steam baths in the building. As part of the tour, we plan not only to visit the Széchenyi Baths, but also to use them as guests.

The maximum number of participants for this study trip is limited. We therefore recommend that you register as soon as possible.
