Time and time again, we see that play areas in leisure pools are anything but child-friendly because the architects planning these areas are subordinate to their design intentions and because neither the planners nor the operators really consider the play and social behaviour of children.

But what are the wishes and needs of our youngest guests? Let's start by agreeing that there is no such thing as "the target group of children": With each stage of their development, the demands on an interesting and safe environment change for the little ones and also for the accompanying adults, which is why we have to design play and exercise programmes for children in a much more differentiated and varied way than has been the case to date. In our practice-orientated seminar, we first look at the play needs of the different age groups and how to design water play landscapes that are truly child-friendly and stimulate the imagination.

In the afternoon, we offer an overview of the wide range of attractions for children and young people that are available in addition to the well-known water slides: From splash zones and spray parks to ninja cross courses and wave pools to play equipment and landscapes for outdoor areas and outdoor pools. Current trends such as VR and interactive multimedia play offers will also be presented.
