The water purification system is a world class performance and the process is realized through ozonation. The thermal water, that is extracted from 3,000 m depth, is supplying all of the 10 pools ( indoor and outdoor), the temperature being constantly maintained at 33 degrees Celsius.

AQUApark Oberhausen is the first waterpark with “mining” as the constitutive theme. Its unique design and many different attractions assure that you will have an extraordinary stay.

With more than 25,000 squaremetres and divided into three parts (advenure area, sports area and outdoor area), AQUApark is a water park with many highlights:

An X-Tube slide (120 metres long), a black-hole slide and a freefall slide. A diving platform up to three meters is also available in a separate diving pool.

In addition: jacuzzis, a beach volleyball court, an air slide, a trailable glass dome and a spa area as well as baby changing facilities, family changing rooms and a huge free car park. Your children will enjoy the separate baby pool with a temperature of 31 degrees, while you can do watersport courses, chill out in the heated outdoor pool or enjoy the sunbathing on our lawn.

The huge indoor and outdoor pool not only has the largest combined water surface in Germany (a total of about 6,500 square meters), but also an exceptional architecture. A cantilevered roof from the wood of 60,000 Black Forest firs appears to float above the pool area and creates an open, bright atmosphere.

Especially the athletes feel the “swimming center” well. The indoor lap pool is 50 meters long and eight lanes of the largest in Germany. separated by a narrow wall of which is the diving pool. BADEPARADIES, with sports and paddling pools including wave machine as well as outdoor bath with five pools, makes swimming a pleasure.

The diving platform, ten metres high, and the water chute in the centre also invite to plunge into the water. Various aqua courses are offered for those who want to stay fit not only by swimming. A play area close to the paddling pool in the outdoor bath with beach chairs and sun sails provides shade for children and holiday atmosphere for adults.

You prefer ice skating to plunging into the water? Then you can lace the skates in the winter season. The ice surface (30 x 60 metres) has enough space for both the amateur skater and for the princess on ice. Eight skittle alleys for competitions and six alleys for parties are at the disposal of associations and amateur skittle-players to get a strike.
An excellent atmosphere is also available here for meetings and training measures. The light-flooded conference room offers seats for a maximum of 80 people and an exclusive view on the green area and the ice hall.
