Andreas Ramsauer takes on a new challenge

Our Vice President and long-standing member of the Executive Board, Andreas Ramsauer, announced today (August 12) that he will be taking on a new professional role outside the water park industry on August 31, 2025. In accordance with the association’s statutes, he will also be stepping down from the Executive Board of the European Waterpark Association e.V. A by-election for the position will take place at the next General Meeting in October.

“We very much regret losing Andi, a member of our Executive Board team who has always shown great commitment and enthusiasm for the EWA and the entire industry,” said EWA President Jutta Kleiber. “We are certain that he will take on his new challenge with the same passion and wish him all the best. We would like to thank him from the bottom of our hearts for his commitment and are sure that he will remain as connected to the EWA as we will remain connected to him in the future.”

Andreas Ramsauer’s time as managing director of Silvretta Therme in Ischgl will end on August 31 of this year. “In recent months, I have received several high-profile offers from within the industry – I could have accepted any of them and am very grateful for each and every one! But then this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came along: a concept that I myself played a key role in developing, to be implemented together with an exceptionally experienced team of investors from my family circle. Starting in September, I will be working not only as managing director but also as a partner to bring this project to life – with all my experience, passion, and energy. It feels like a new beginning and I am incredibly excited to see this ‘baby’ grow and flourish,” writes Andreas Ramsauer.

All of us – the board, the committee of supporting members, the EWA-office and, of course, all our friends from the association – wish him good luck, lots of energy and success!
